Any photoshop experts or similar? Can this be removed from these wedding photos?

Any photoshop experts or similar? Can this be removed from these wedding photos?

Post by jockosjungle »

Hi All

I was wondering if it was possible to remove "proof only please return" from some of the photos here

https://www.photobox.co.uk/album/5610411997

Parents have been married 50 years and never had a proper photo album, never even had a proper set of photos. Only these.

The photographer is long dead.

Any idea? Do I need some software? Someone to do it? Or do I just do what I was going to do which was cut round them?

Thanks in advance

That link is to an album you have to be signed in to see.

They're scans of real photos, just wondering if it was possible to do anything with them.

Found this website, that sometimes does a good job, other times less so

https://www.webinpaint.com/

Not sure if it'll let you view this

Sure, perfectly doable in photoshop. Sign up for a trial month, and then cancel ?

How many photos ? Hire someone on fiverr? (For more than a fiver)

Yes, it's easy enough - however you'd need better quality scans to be able to get decent prints from them

Go on then, one more

I've also worked out why the scanned images are so small, photobox are probably only showing a "thumbnail"of the images rather than the full res versions (I just right clicked and saved as) and then cropped them from the A4 scan bed uploads

Wow you've done a loads better job than I managed on photoshop. Naturally I've got some higher res images! But they look OK what I did, and you wouldn't notice I think

I had massive trouble with the big group shot, the little boy in shorts was a right pain and it doesn't look right.
