Some photos from Silverstone last weekend - a highly enjoyable weekend of camping and racing!

Is that Hamilton's family at the end there? Why did they all look so glum?

Loved Button on the bike!

What sort of ticket did you go for to get where you did?

It was Lewis' family, yes (although his dad was absent) - he made us wait about twenty minutes for them too! I guess they don't really want to be in limelight - we did debate whether he's planning a Kardashians style reality series with them all in the future...

The tickets were full weekend grandstand pass ones, which allowed: Entry for Thursday for the Sky F1 show and wandering about, Friday general entry for free practice where you can sit anywhere you like, Qualifying in any grandstand you want, and allocated seats on Sunday (where we were at Club Corner, right at the end). It was a great way to see the action from different parts of the course. We camped at Litchlake Farm which is right next to the circuit and great value - plus it has proper toilets and showers!

The Thursday pit walk passes they have a ballot for, and we were lucky this year to win some. Due to our time clashing with the start of filming for the Sky Show, I got stuck in the throng and somehow ended up right where the presenters and crew come out to the track which was great. Eventually they chucked us out and I saw the rest from the stands.

Superb pics - love the melees going on into Club corner - it's a great place to sit nowadays.

Here are my pics from a couple of years (and cameras!) ago :) Similar spot to you on race day.
