The Samsung Galaxy Camera / Android Operating systems

Post by dunkle »

I was given the Samsung Camera and for my needs, its brilliant, some cracking images, a good zoom and fits (just) in my pocket, but I need some help on how to use it, or rather how to use its OS

(1) How do i delete apps ? I have no need for any of them other than the gallery, settings and obviously the camera

(2) How do I switch off dropbox and other uploads ? I dont want pics uploading to dropbox

(3) How do I stop it going off and getting emails etc ?

I guess basically i want to know how to strip everything from it other than the basic camera functions ?

I guess it works like any android phone but with a Samsung twist.

A lot of the stuff will be in settings / applications just turning the wi-fi off will stop lots (assume it's not got 3g). if you swipe from top does it give yousome settings and just toggle wwi-fi

You can get an app like astro or es (file manager and other bits) that allows you to manage and delete apps.

Cheers

Will seek that app
I'm guessing though for the stock apps there will be no removing them

Would just like it to be a camera with none of the apps etc

It was a gift and it's a great camera and certainly meets my needs
