If you've not updated Lightroom lately, it's finally got so much faster.

I'm on v9.3, with this daft new icon.

Ha! I see that I got excited too soon, as now there's a return bug, whereby the image becomes ridiculously pixellated when using smart previews (which is the single most speed increase you can make). So I've had to turn it off again, and take a performance hit.

What Makes the Image Work >> free first lesson in a paid course, from pro photog David DuChemin - self contained and worth a look. Tips on shooting in the field, through to LR processing.

Currently £89.99

<a data-source="forums" data-type="Amazon UK" href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... dvdtimes01" class="affiliatelink">Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan 20GB: Photoshop + Lightroom | 1 Year | PC/Mac | Download</a>

Initially I had 2 years from B&H Photos (USA) for $99/year before switching to Adobe UK monthly and then Amazon vouchers. Inbetween, I've paid for a total of 9 months at £8.97/month, and also used the "cancel to get 2 free months" trick.

This is what I've paid from Amazon -

£79.99 - 29 April 2016
£69.99 - 11 July 2017
£74.99 - 16 Nov 2018
£79.99 - 26 Dec 2019
£73.72 - 11 April 2020

I Might try the demo of Affinity. I'm not a really heavy user of Photoshop and I think for what I pay I'm not getting value for money.

Buy Adobe Photography Plan Subscription +3 Months

As seen on HUKD - surprisingly it worked ! Be sure not to join their SMART price 'club' which adds recurring billing (check the ticks/toggles), don't use any discount codes (which adds you to the club!) and then afterwards double-check for any sneaky recurring billing in your PayPal account.

Then signin to your Adobe account online, and apply the code here (it should display your name and email address) >> redeem.adobe.com

Adobe >> My plans

Photography plan (20GB) Annual plan, prepaid
Next payment is scheduled for Mar 30, 2022.
