Ha! I see that I got excited too soon, as now there's a return bug, whereby the image becomes ridiculously pixellated when using smart previews (which is the single most speed increase you can make). So I've had to turn it off again, and take a performance hit.

Initially I had 2 years from B&H Photos (USA) for $99/year before switching to Adobe UK monthly and then Amazon vouchers. Inbetween, I've paid for a total of 9 months at £8.97/month, and also used the "cancel to get 2 free months" trick.

I Might try the demo of Affinity. I'm not a really heavy user of Photoshop and I think for what I pay I'm not getting value for money.

This looks great! The biggest ever feature upgrade to LR, expected to drop in the next few weeks.

But as always, let's hope it doesn't impact performance ... in fact, if they've completely re-written the local adjustments, it could actually be much quicker. *crosses fingers*
