What do we rate the chances of a digital only Series X?

Maybe in 3 or 4 years time, probably too early for a model refresh in less than one year of the Series X.

I remember they made an all digital Xbox One S but this was towards the end of the lifecycle.

Yeah, makes sense
Gonna grab one as soon as I see they're available without fluff (e.g. don't see the point in buying gamepass when I can get a better deal on gamepass elsewhere)
Seems everyone but Amazon seem to only sell it with stuff you don't need

The Xbox/Bethesda E3 show was underwhelming but thankfully, Forza Horizon 5 did not disappoint & looked absolutely stunning.

Forza Horizon 5 could be the game that makes me take the Series X plunge.

Liked the look of Shredders; seems very reminiscent of Amped. Riders Republic from Ubisoft looks good as well but some of that first person bike riding could be very trial and error I think in a frustrating way.

The funny thing about that reveal was that I’ve known about ‘Redfall’ for ages, but the assumption at the time (and by that I mean the time of the ES6 teaser and ensuing speculation) was that it was the name of The Elder Scrolls VI because it had to do with the fall of the Redguards.

This might be a stupid question but on the Microsoft Store on your Xbox is there a fool proof way to tell if a game is playable on Xbox One i.e. not Series X/S only. So I know that on the box art it can have the ‘X/S’ logo but at the top of the screen it might just say X/S Optimised.

So for example Far Cry 6 has X/S logos on the boxes but I think it is also for Xbox One.

Battlefield 2042 clearly has different versions with a £10 more expensive X/S version. This one at least explains things a bit better.

Riders Republic has X/S logo on all the versions but a Google search says it is Xbox One as well.

I don’t know, I think it could do a better job of telling you which versions will work on the console you are using, particularly because the Filter option (X button) doesn’t do what I would expect it to do when I select Xbox One from the list instead of Any.

If they had any sense, the store wouldn't show you titles that weren't playable on the console being used.

I didn't even know there were XBox games that were X/S only

Anyone putting their series x on its side?
It's got feet to do it but seems like the logo would be the wrong way and there would be a big circle on the side (the vertical stand)

I have mine upright, it seems to make more sense. I just have it beside my tv on the unit instead of underneath.

Yeah, mine is to. Feel it would be better space wise to go horizontal mind (interferes very slightly with my ambilight)
The horizontal seems a bit of a last minute addition

I think Microsoft have said (and various sites tested the claims) that the console can safely be used on its “side” but optimum performance/ cooling is only achieved in its vertical “normal” position due to the way console is constructed and the design of console working like a chimney for the heat to escape

Anybody want Stardew Valley and has a VPN?

I just accidentally bought it and found I’ve already got it

Free to the first person who messages me, you will need an Argentinian VPN to redeem this.
