Robinson and Friedel also scored PL goals.

Yes.

Alisson's was the first header, in the PL, and the first winning goal, in the PL, as well.

[quote="saltysam"]Yes, today was a good example of why Mike Dean shouldn't ref any games.QUOTE]

Corrected for you.

Another great performance from Dean Chelsea v Leicester. Werner gets his ankle taken from under him in the box. Dean is 20 feet away with clear line of sight and gives free kick against Werner.

Refereeing and VAR standards are truly awful. MOTD is always full or errors by refs and VAR and there seems to be no accountability and never any comment from the FA. Complete joke.

Anyway, sorry about that this is the Liverpool thread.

Werner made no attempt to play the ball; he just stick his leg in front of Tieleman's when it was already in the down swing.

You've seen them given but then again it is easy to see why he doesn't give it

Foul in the box though..MOTD pundits all felt it was more of a pen than the one he was given later...why it resulted in a free kick against him though? Unless Dean felt it was a dive?

Well there is no way the Covid measures, that were in place yesterday, are going to scale up to full capacity in August. And loads of people were having trouble with the turnstiles not accepting the NFC tickets - and being sent to the ticket office to get paper tickets and/or just being let in by stewards through side entrances !!!

As for the game itself - bit nervy to start, especially when word got round that Leicester had gone a goal up. But pretty comfortable in the end; even comfortable enough for Salah to go into full on 'chase the Golden Boot' mode towards the end :D

Can't believe after all the issues; the massive, and unprecedented, amount of injuries (which even now pundits are ignoring and claiming it shouldn't have made a difference LOL) and that after home run after Christmas that we finished 3rd.

LOL never rely on a 15 year old to read emails .... especially ones from Liverpool telling him he needs to register his interest in the FA Cup ACS before a certain date

Have no idea why the usual suspects are saying the penalty and red card are controversial

In fact, the only controversial part ( though completely unsurprising given it was Taylor ) was how the ref had an unobstructed view of the whole incident and waved played on !!!! Questions should also be asked about why he failed to send off Mendy - for a second yellow card - given how much time wasting he was doing during the whole game.
