Board games for young family

Post by 1966 »

I realise there's a very similar post just below this but didn't want to thread hijack as I have slightly different requirements.

Would like something that is:

Can be played by 5+ players at once
Suitable for 4-7 year olds
Actually enjoyable for adults to play with them
Isn't entirely ruined if one player gives up mid-way

Any suggestions?

Incan Gold

Not a board game per se but very easy to play and better with more players.

Camel Up!

The nuances of betting for the end game will be lost (you can house rule a number of elements out), and some kids will just want to roll the pyramid/dice, but it's all good fun. Kids love the racing and stacking of the camels.

4-7 is pretty young! I would look at something like Cadoo which is like Cranium but aimed at a younger group.

I''d also look at Dobble and Dobble Kids, but 5+ is pushing it.

I bought my sister Doodle Quest for Christmas. Her 4 and 5-year-old daughters love it.
