Games playable on airplane trays

Post by Steve Jackson »

A slight variation on the other travel games thread, I'm off to Florida next week and will be taking the iPad with plenty of digital card and board games on, but which physical games do people recommend that will fit on airplane trays?

At the moment all I can think of is Love Letter, Skull and Roses, and perhaps Coup.

Province. I did a tDF review.

When are you going? I have a spare copy that I might be able to sort out for you. DM me if interested.

Yes, I think I commented on how good your review was. I meant to pick the game up on the strength of it. Thanks for the offer but, I could do with something for three players though ideally.

Out of curiosity though, if I recall correctly you got the iOS version for backing the game on Kickstarter? Does it have decent AI and a pass and play mode?

I wonder if we could fit Citadels across the three trays....

ONUW is a great idea. It's a shame now that we're sitting three in front and three behind. We could have played this or Resistance with six if we were sitting across the row instead.

Steve. Re Province.

The iOS version is a good port. Nice and big and clear. I haven't really tested the AI severely as the game is smaller than the iPad so I'd rather get the set out and play that with Mrs Torf :)

Yes it has pass and play though. Nothing's hidden at all, everything is in plain sight Apart from the VP objectives.

Another suggestion. Pass the Pigs! Roll them off your table and you're making bacon!

In that case try and get a proper game of werewolf going. We had three games on the plane back from Iceland last year with a 3x4 seat block - the whole flight flew by (pardon the pun).

I suppose we could try, it'll be a little awkward communicating with the people either in front or behind though. That is why I was really sticking to three player games.

Sushi Go. Ideal for that kind of space IMO

I do have the Kickstarter edition of Harbour actually. May take that, and I had thought about Sushi Go too, cheers both.
