Isn't King of New York supposed to be the better game?

£17.00 - ok price for a fun family dice game.

Edit for comments above - We like it as a family, plays well with kids aged 7/8+ I think. There's not a huge amount of deep strategy and they will often take risks that adults wouldn't ... and they often pay off much to their delight!

At £12-14 it would be a must buy, but I can understand that it's not an instabuy at £17.

I think that KoNY adds a bit more variety / depth, but for a decent surface game, I'd recommend KoT.

One thing to point out is that if you lose all your health, then you're out of the game. I generally don't like this mechanic, but it plays pretty speedily and providing you keep the game moving you can usually engage any sulking kids (or adults!) enough to keep them interested in how others are rolling until the game ends and you start again.

It's a fun game but if you have KoNY there's no point in getting it.

I'd probably fold if I hadn't bought loads recently and Christmas wasn't coming... thanks for the tip though!

This drops at 19:00. Excellent game with young kids. Really neat and highly frustrating when you just can't see the matching pairs even though they're staring you in the face.

Yeah, I can vouch for dobble. Great with adults too - even my parents enjoyed it. Takes only minutes to play too so a nice little time filler

Picked up Lords Of Waterdeep in the offer, combines DnD with Euro style game playing and comes very highly rated.
