That is another of the many board game ports I bought ages ago but have barely played because my brain struggles with learning digital versions of board games I have never played the physical version of.

Just played through the tutorial and got absolutely spanked by the computer :) Seems like fun and straight forward enough, like a simple Agricola with dice.

One of my favourite worker placements. Love the many ways to victory there are in this one. I've won by starving my workers, and another time by simply heading to the love shack at every available opportunity.

Coup for iPhone on Kickstarter:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/329017186/coup-mobile-edition

I'm not sure how such a social game will translate to asynchronous online play and I don't know if I think this is a good idea or not. They don't even know if it will be a paid for app or adopt a freemium model yet, although looking at the different tiers for backing it, there are going to be a least three types of IAP, spies, reputation, and chat packs.

I don't know how a game like that will work on a phone. It's too social! The fun of it is bluffing and trying to read people, which will be lost completely.

There are some details from the creator of the original on how it has been adapted for mobile here:

For general tablet gaming pleasure, is the consensus that iPad is the way to go over Android? Because I really don't want to get an iPad :p

Just a quick heads up, a port of Splendor hit iOS this morning. It is a universal app coded by Days of Wonder and seems pretty decent from the couple of quick games I played earlier.

Sadly no online yet though.

Cool, I'll probably be interested in that if/when online play gets added.

I hope it gets added soon. The game is really well done but is obviously crying out for online play.

Fingers crossed. Could be waiting a while though, given the love DoW has shown its TTR apps...

I got a little excited earlier when I found that Splendor was released for Steam a couple of days ago, thinking it would have online multiplayer. Unfortunately it hasn't though, plus it is Windows only at the moment so I can't play it anyway. It will be an insta-buy for me if they do release it for Mac with online though.

Looks like I'm sticking to playing the AI on iOS in the meantime.

Has anyone tried Galaxy Trucker on iOS? I always liked the sound of the board game.

Rare price reduction to £4.99.

Is it worth getting for single player?

Single player is fun.

But there are a few of us on here who play, and multiplayer is better!
