I like the theme of this to. I really need to stop looking at Kickstarter

Due to real life commitments I haven't done any real gaming in months, and thought I'd managed to break my previous Kickstarter habit. However, I made the mistake of clicking on that link and ended up backing that myself, without even reading through the description properly or watching the video! :cuckoo:

I'm a sucker for pirates but thankfully with Pirates of the 7 Seas and Black Fleet in my collection I think I have enough!

The board-gaming internet went mad for Rising Sun the other day - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/rising-sun/

Anyone back it? I back v. few games and miniatures do absolutely nothing for me, but glad it went down so well and hope the game is good. I just hope it's not a continuing trend for style over substance in board games.

I saw this and didn't go for it. May well regret it as it does look a decent set.

Some of the mechanics looked similar to Game of Thrones which I've not yet played but heard good things about.

I didn't back either. I played game of thrones to death and now rarely get 3+ round a table, and when i do tend to play shorter games, so not for me. Looks nice tho!

You're gonna need a bigger table.

Seriously, 42 inch diameter board! Then somewhere to keep all the components and cards nearby.

This arrived and looks a great expansion - son will love it, and I'm sure it's going to help massively with his GCSE English Lit :)
