I wouldn't think it was the same or how it should be, the ***** of covid I guess.

I wonder how long it'll be before we are actually allowed to go and see a footy game?

Oh look, a member of South Yorkshire Police has decided that Liverpool fans can't be trusted and, currently, any game where Liverpool can win the title is to be played at a neutral venue. I would love to hear the reasoning for why Newcastle v Liverpool is a high risk game.

None of the bottom 6 are currently going to play at a neutral venue and neither are any of, higher risk, London derbies.

Funny how integrity no longer seems to be important now

Probably because it's guaranteed that Liverpool fans will congregate at Anfield if they can win the league at that particular game. Also Anfield is right in the middle of residential areas where lots of fans live.

The muppet fans appearing outside grounds for no reason when games are being played will be a problem.

It's no more guaranteed than relegation clubs' fans turning up when they avoid relegation or, say, the Arsenal v Spurs game with both teams fighting for a Top 4/5 finish.

When you have a fan base the size of Liverpool's and United's then there is a barely a city in the country which doesn't have fans that could turn up to the neutral venue as well.

It's complete nonsense and gives 2/3 teams a distinct disadvantage in terms of actual results (if the bottom 6 are to be believed) and loss of income [ on top of the already huge losses they will make in paying a larger share of the rebate to Sky/BT than everyone else ].

Still - if it goes ahead then there is no possibility of any sort of asterisk / tainted title

It is more guaranteed. This is Liverpool fans we're talking about. Given that they've not won the PL before it's pretty much guaranteed.

Got to love stereotyping certain fans based mainly on the views of the fat, corrupt City mayor who can't even keep the socially distancing rules himself.

Hey, mind you, since Man City v Newcastle is deemed a high risk game [ go figure ... smacks of let's throw in a random game to try and deflect eyes from what we are really doing here ] then Newcastle will be happy to forfeit home advantage in their FA Cup tie against City as surely that is an even higher risk game ???

Is it that there are too many local games at the same time?

In relation to crime and disorder we have no objections to any of the Everton or Liverpool home fixtures being played at their respective grounds.

10 from 8 clubs in Championship and 7 in League 2 though. I assume these tests were from players who felt well and had no symptoms. Wonder how many of us are similar and whether we should all get tested?

Blumink ek you're defiantly a Liverpool fan aren't you.

I bet there were some classics when Woy was around everyone was queuing up to see.

Never denied I was a Liverpool fan

You would not believe the number of tickets that were available during those dark days

My point was ... just a few days ago the BBC were lauding what a coup these 4 games were and making out there were some great games coming.

If it is true, then as predicted by many, the games they are going to show are going to the bottom of the consumer appeal barrel ( rejected by three other broadcasters )

I see virtually no appeal for any of this among anybody I've spoken to. I might feel differently once it starts. Very much has the feeling of a load of pointless pre-season friendly matches.
