Unhappy VAR

I know it's a good thing in general but VAR seems to be ruining the game when you talk inches or millimetres. Not sure what the answer is other than did the attacking team get a tangible advantage from having a foot 2mm ahead of the defender.

Example from today here: https://youtu.be/zej3QaNc42Q?t=4

That to me is a goal.

It is an absolute farce. The sooner it is consigned to the bin the better. The rules were not meant to be implemented by robots and the ‘clear and obvious’ directive is being ignored.

There's nothing wrong with the technology, it's the way its being implemented. Mike Riley and the PGMOL have royally ****** it up by arrogantly using it in a way no other country does. And introducing rules/additions that are unnecessary and unwanted and against IFAB's advice.

In its current form it will just drive people away from the game, football lives by goals and so far all it is doing is stopping them as the offside rule shouldn’t be scrutinised to this level.

Get rid of all the techincal rubbish and have the ref view it from pitch side if there is a possible infringement. Just view the footage from various angles and no decision should be made by anyone else.

I think it should be just used in a clear and obvious error situation only for offside...all this toe was a few mm offside is total nonsense

Seems the majority of the games is a VAR controversy, maybe it's just the ones you notice. But not sure there is an answer, people thought this was the answer for dodgy ref decisions.

If football lives by goals ... why did they bring in goal line technology ? Get rid of that and more goals would be scored

Because that is a black or white decision. Also the technology for that isn’t ran on Commodore 64.

I think it is OK for goaline tech but it's the silly offsides, the debatable fouls (like the third goal for West Ham yesterday ( https://youtu.be/XJ2gLE4oCsI?t=79 ) it just seems farcical. That WH penalty should never have been given even with VAR BTW.
