A new bargain has been posted to Tweals:

Same price as Argos (different McAfee but I doubt that’s what anyone is after from this deal!) - good alternative if you can’t find stock.

Not quite. I paid £30 for my first year and £35 a year for my next 3 years. It did involve some vouchers and taking advantage of MS's T&C's a little though!

Office pricing seems remarkably variable, depending on where you look.

In fact, a simple google search reveals several versions of stand-alone Office 2019 from £15-29. I assume at price they’re not legit..? Perhaps selling valid codes that are supposed to be for internal enterprise use or something like that?

Yeah, they're bulk licence keys or OEM. They'll work but not exactly legit.

I suspect most people into Office 365 are more into the terrabytes cloud storage than Office itself though so cheap single use office keys don't much help there.

I for one only use Outlook out of office. It's the cloud storage that keeps me subscribed vs buying a cheap one off key.

Cloud storage for me, the rest of the family gets Office for free. Win-win.
