No one remembers the lag fest that blighted Outrun on the Xbox ?

Kewl. About time the Arcade had a decent multiplayer racing game.

Nice, but it looks like a straight port of OutRun2 - C2C, which I didn't enjoy as much as the original OutRun2.

One of the guys from Sumo posts on the Ntsc-UK forums so it was asked about which version the game was. To quote directly:

'Arcade wise (discounting OutRun, Turbo OutRun and OutRunners) it goes OutRun2, OutRun 2 SP and OutRun2 SP SDX. They come in various cabinet flavours. OutRun2 had 15 courses, the other two had 30 tracks(the 15 additional SP tracks). The SDX is the Lindburgh version which went to 720P and added 2 drivers in one car, it's the one with the fancy motion base.

When it comes to home ports we had all the tracks in OutRun2006:Coast to Coast (Xbox, PS2, PSP, PC) though to make it confusing the Japanese version was called OutRun2 SP like the arcade version. We'd previously done OutRun2 on Xbox only, which had in extra tracks based on Daytona and Scud Race/Sega GT.

OutRun Online Arcade comes with just the 15 SP tracks. Hopefully this explains it...'

So it's a version of SP, okay. So long as it has the original and Euro remix versions of the music they can have whatever space bucks it costs - I'll buy.

That would be great, but would Sega be willing to shell out for the Daytona license?

Hmmm will have to have a look at Partnernet to see if it's there. Deathtank (another January XBLA game) was there a few weeks ago and that's awesome.

Yeah, you go ahead and file that one alongside Scud Race as never gonna happen, Sega have said Climax is an arcade only release.

Which is a shame as it's the original reason I bought a 360 for.

OT: It looks like Sega has done a second 20th Anniversary OST box for After Burner. The Out Run 20th one was brill, must see if I can track this down.
