I seen the goals on SSN earlier, Defoe and Bent took their goals very nicely. The 2nd Orient goal was just a very good strike but the 1st one (a header) just lobbed over Robinson.....poor positioning again or just a fluke?!

Bit of a fluke. What do you mean "poor positioning again"?! Nothing he could do, the ball went over his hand and then down under the bar. I think Dawson could have stepped up a bit perhaps.

Here they are though, finally

Teletext saying that Sunderland have taken Mido for £6m

Could we be that lucky?

Could Sunderland?! If he goes there, they'll stay up for sure.

They might double the profits on the burger vans but that'll be the end of his contribution

I'm sure he'll get 10+ goals for them if he isn't injured

FFS - The deal to take Ghaly away has apparantly fell through, according to the BBC report, due to footballing reasons

wtf are 'footballing' reasons? Surely they knew about this before meeting him?

FourFourTwo posted their predictions for this season. 3 panellists put us 5th, two (including 442 themselves) said 4th and Tim Sherwood said 3rd. Les Ferdiand was one who said 4th but said he thought we could even push for 3rd.

3 of them thought we'd win the FA cup and 2 thought we'd win the league cup. Sherwood clearly believed we'd concentrate on the league and not win any domestic trophies.

Urgh! Just when I thought I disliked him enough, he does this...

Great - so now he's basically unsellable cos everyone knows about his attitude.

You never know, theres always Sunderland!

If they are gonna pay £6m for Mido (is that confirmed anywhere yet?) after paying £10.5m for Richardson and Chopra, then they'll probably give you £4m for Ghally!!

Ghaly really is a knob
Fair play to Bruce, would have been interesting if it had been Sunderland he was off to. We'd be reading about Keane being up on GBH charges

Have to say I probably would have had the same reaction as Ghaly. Sounds like he didn't have much of a clue about B'ham and got there and though "God they're crap, I'm not coming here". Good on Jol today, praising Ghaly in his SSN interview showing the kind of level headed pragmatic attitude that most of our fans lack when it comes to Ghaly.

Sadly didn't see the match today, and I doubt I ever will. Steed did well for the second goal, looks like a completely different player. If he carries on like this I think I'll change my mind about him
