PSP - 20th May?!!!

After a few bits and pieces appearing now making it likely that there is little chance of the European launch being in March, Gameplay are now quoting the very specific date of 20th May.

A full 2 months after the US launch if it's right....

Yes, if it deals with a different topic from other PSP threads. Or should we bundle all the XBox, PS2, GC and DS topics into a single thread per system only?

As for those rumours, I have to say that Sony is not being very forthcoming. There have even been unsubstantiated rumours that the PSP would only arrive in Europe closer to the end of the year.

Sony should definitely get the launch campaign started and give us some hard facts. Or they can watch Nintendo promote its system well and get the preorders they deserve and face the consequences.

I meant one week later. That is what is currently set - I am not saying it wont change.

I had it independently confirmed by two managers of games specialists that I know, one of an independent one of a chain.

I am NOT saying this is definite but it would be a good spoiling tactic by Sony to go for this date. I would imagine that the first few months will be very limited a la the first release of the PS2.

Sony of japan say now the uk psp wont be out till june because the warehouses cant produce enough chips for the psp for japan and the usa. so june is the new uk date according to gamerador.com

It's really annoying how there is a thread for every little psp thing, Can you please keep most topics in one thread.

Edit - I looked at how many threads posted by MR Coates about PSP there are and theres 9 or 10. This is rediculous, I mean I can understand 2/3 maybe 4 thread but jeeeze! They're everywhere!
