No.1 Amazon Bestseller congratulations!

208% now, you're outscoring the Vegan Cookbook, hopefully you can top the free gas cupboard key at 321% but in all honesty these freebie deals are pretty hard to score, it's done well to get as high as it did. Taq got 130 and then 295.

Once they're hot they seem to go hotter, but I check the site a couple of times a day and I hardly bother to vote but I often get the free stuff.

Yes, looking good today. Those figures are close to the best that I saw - #9 mystery and #22 Free books.

I'm going to create a blog post in the next 30 mins or so.

You'll have to tell me what 262 deg on HotDealsUK means, it's all new to me, but thanks for posting anyway.

Basically it has to go to 100 to become hot and show up on the hot page as opposed to the new page. Hard to know what it really means, the higher the number the more popular it is. But mostly for you, it means its on the hot freebie page and as such people will click and download, but probably less than 50 people have actually bothered to vote. People can vote it hot or cold, so it can fluctuate.

It's just a popular bargain site and people look, as someone commented you can easily live off the free books posted on there.

Probably more interesting for you in how many downloads it got you, as I say, it's largely meaningless and the score is pretty good, but people just are voting that it was £3 and now it's free.

None of them really (except a few on here) have read the book

Thank you so much for your support.

That's got to be a great total, up to 326 on HUKD which is really good, but it's going to go further down the page.

I would say very interesting. Nothing like the spectacular results of yesterday, but 116 downloads today.

I say interesting because I limited myself to checking just every hour today, and up until 4.30ish, there were basically 3 or 4 downloads every hour. At this time, the download count was 59.

The promo e-mails went out around 5-ish and so that means that the average for the last 4 hours has been ~14 an hour.

The biggest change is my US rankings:-

#2934 Free Overall
#50 Coming of Age
#277 Young Adult
#313 mystery

Yesterday, these figures were #8638, #158, #587, #788.

You can see Monkey Arkwright on the book promo pages here:-

https://bookrunes.com/

https://discountbookman.com/category/featured-books/

PS: I notice that fellow BooksGoSocial author Alex Drozd has his Sci-Fi novella "A Glitch In The World" FREE at the moment. I read this last week - it's a good and short read and as it's free, I recommend grabbing it if you like Donnie Darko-style plots.

Yesterday finished on a respectable 162. Things slowing down today - just the 65 downloads so far.

That's pretty good I'd have thought! I think people are now used to freebies and 99p books, I have to admit I'm very selective about what I download for free so you'll probably get a few reads. Is there a way to know who actually reads the thing?

As for the final purchase, I guess someone liked the sound of it, and saw it was 99p and just went for it, probably with amazon credit that we all have kicking about!

I'll post it again if you decide to do another freebie, Taq definitely got two hot deals out of it

Thanks again to both of you for your help. As far as I'm aware, there's no way to know who reads what's downloaded, except on Kindle Unlimited of course, where you get a page count.
