Don't put any walking dead Funko collectibles on your desk at work or may get fired

Quote:
A bank employee has apparently lost his job after a complaint over his 'racist' Walking Dead doll went viral online.

Last week, a customer at the bank in North Carolina shared pictures of the Funko collectible that depicted one of Michonne's 'pet walkers' from the AMC show.

Stacey Smith, the customer, wrote how she found the employee's figure "very offensive", and that she asked him what the doll meant, before speaking to his boss.

However, the employee Matt Anderson says he has now been fired from his job, telling CBS17: "I would just really appreciate it if people did not think that I was a racist or anything like that."

Recalling the day and the customer asking him about the figurines, he continued: "'Have you ever seen the show?' She didn't respond to my question.

"She just said that she was offended and I asked her, 'Well, why were you offended?' because I wanted to know so that I could apologise to her."

Of course people like her can't explain why they are offended. Had a look at these toys, just bobblehead things. Reminds me of that **** old git in the UK crying over the Negan t-shirt crying "racism" Hopefully Matt will sue the **** out of the bank

Well I am now up to the episode where the tiger dies; so that is some conclusion already But a zombie tiger would have been great

Finally made it to end of Season 8.

Didn't think the 2nd half was that bad really but the number of times Negan managed to escape was starting to get annoying along with more than the fair share of people doing stupid things or changing their mind every 5 minutes.

Still, at least Carl finally died

The latest word on the digital street is that Andrew Lincoln might not be leaving The Walking Dead. It could be a ruse to fool all the spoiler sites/YouTube channels etc that he is leaving.

Then there is the involvement of former cast members such as Jon Bernthal (Shane) and others in Season 9 adding to credibility that he could be leaving and they might appear as either fever induced hallucinations before he dies or in some sort of flashbacks.

Depending on how closely they stick to the comics, they could make it look like Rick dies being overwhelmed by a horde of zombies only for it to be revealed at the end of the season that

Then there is the promo picture for season 9 where Rick is obviously featured prominently, standing in front of the Capitol building in Washington D.C. There is a helicopter flying in the background possibly the same one we have seen before. Here is where things start to get a bit complicated because the use of the helicopter in the promo picture might indicate The Walking Dead is skipping ahead past the group I mentioned in spoiler tags and right on to

The real question is does anyone even care anymore. The last couple of seasons have been awful.

Pretty much how I feel. I quite enjoyed the second half of Season 8. Still a few too many contrivances (Negan wriggling out of danger too many times), but an improvement.

I want to read JohnMac's spoilers, but am so behind on the comics! I need to catch up.

With the current allegations against Chris Hardwick, superfan Yvette Nicole Brown has been given the job of 'interim host' on Talking Dead. Expect lots of reading from notebooks.

Did i just watch an adult episode of Little Houses on the Prairie?

What on earth was the god awful glass floor part and what was going on with the editing? It was all over the place.

A shocking but expected start.

I enjoyed the episode. I know it isn’t cool to enjoy TWD these days but I’m OK with that.

Overall I thought it was an ok opener. It started & ended strongly but was deathly dull in the middle. I had no idea they were so close to Washington D.C. as you got the impression they rode there & back in the same day?

For me I think Walking Dead jumped the shark second half of the last season. Will watch this season for the departure of Rick Grimes but after that I might be out if it doesn't get any better. It used to be you could at least rely on the season opener and finale being strong, but now we haven't even got that, it seems to have become a soap opera.

In Fear the Walking Dead Morgan mentioned going back to Virginia which is comparatively close to Washington DC.

AMC have recently said they envisage the show running for another ten years at least, haven't they? They're completely ******* deluding themselves if they can't see that the writing is on the wall in half that time if the show doesn't have a serious uptick in the next couple of seaons.

Personally I'm gonna watch for Rick and after that, if it's still as **** as it has been for the last two seasons, I'm done.

The whole beginning part made zero sense ... WTF do they need with a wagon, plough and canoe ? And there is no other exit except over the glass floor ? Really ? but then kind of made sense after the Darryl/Rick chat.

But still a pretty shoddy episode IMHO.

It was pretty bad writing, my main gripe was when the wagon got stuck and that kid got bitten. They all went into panic mode as the walkers where coming "lets run" like they cant deal with them, kid gets bitten and they soon take out all of 10 walkers like they do that all the time, no big deal for them. Its just carrying on with the stupidity of the show. Redeeming part for me was that Maggie is so cold now, shame she's not staying. Also I do like the new title sequence.

Er that scene was yet another WD stupidity example, loads of zombies piling after them, kid gets bitten so Maggie gets to cuddle him and cry and as we pull back the horde of zombies have dissappeared with a few corpses scattered about.

Got a feeling a lot of us are going to leave with Rick unless there's an upturn in quality.

Really got into Day 5 on Pick recently and that shows how a post-apocalypse show coudl be done.
