Out now ! Only problem is you can't crossplay with PS4 OR even link your epic account (with skins etc) to your Switch account if you've ever used it in a PS4. Bloody Sony.

Am struggling with Fornite on the portable, the text is far too small. Not played it on any other console. Other problem is I don’t really get it, just had my second game and ran for what felt like ages to get in the circle and died instantly.

It was only when Trials was announced for Switch at E3 that I realised the thing doesn't have analogue triggers.

That's mental.

After playing it on PS4 since October, jumping to Switch is horrific. It's jumpy and laggy, and even even with the pro controller, feels crap. I'll play it on portable mode if out the house, but otherwise won't bother, especially since Sony won't allow X-Play or transfer of epic account if it's been used with the PS4.

Not even checked, but it runs at 60fps on Xbox/PS4....didn't feel like that on the switch....

I'm absolutely loving Fortnite! I've not played this type of game since Counterstrike 1.6. And have not played it on other consoles either, but the gameplay and controls feel smooth enough for me.

I also had similar experience to you where you spend all that time hunting for weapons and power ups before dying within seconds. You just need to git gud. Also building is a big part of the game. Just a simple wall will shield you and give you enough to run for cover. Build ramps to give yourself the height advantage.

Hunt for glowing chests. You can hear them, so you'll know one is nearby. They give good stuff like heath kits and bandages, shield potions. And if you're lucky a sniper rifle with thermal scope! These chests are usually hidden, but common place is in the loft of a house. Build a ramp from the floor below and smash the ceiling to access it.

I would suggest playing 50v50 mode. That way you'll have a huge team to cover you. And you can play aggressively to train shooting skills. You can change modes in the lobby (Y button I think?). Then move onto squads and then Solo.

Not really a shooter fan but tired this out as it's free and it's not bad. Also like there are not a zillion cut scenes or tutorial window to skip just straight into the game. Can even see me playing this out and about when I have time to kill.

Bit of a specialist question this, but I know that you can charge the Sqitch up using a USB charging plug connected straight to the unit, but can you keep the USB lead in and continue to play on the switch indefinitely in this manner?

I only ask because I've read some comments that the Switch uses up its battery life faster than it charges, so was wondering how long you can play it for even if it's currently charging.

As long as you use an official charger it 'charges quicker than it uses battery'

Great game, from what I remember anyway and I never did beat it.

However the "remaster" looks like nothing more than a waxy filter splashed on top. Might get it if cheap otherwise easy to emulate.

I'm not sure that's possible in this case, plus the question was more about being able to use the Switch indefinitely whilst "wired" so to speak. I'm not asking for myself, it's for a friend who's looking at a very long stint in the hospital and wants a Switch to help pass the time. I'm not sure what the haleth & safety policies are in hospitals these days with regards to electrical items, but I figured they're more likely to allow a plug-in USB charger on the ward than the Switch dock.

You don't need the dock to use the official charger, it just for in the USBC port on the device.
