[2000AD] Steve Dillon has died

Steve Dillon has sadly died, aged only 54.

Loved his work on Dredd (Cry of the Werewolf simply fantastic) and Rogue Trooper, among others.

Never read the Preacher series he's also well-known for, perhaps I should?

Preacher great but I'll always love Dillon for his early British stuff. I used to spend hours copying his stuff when I was a kid. I even managed to get a picture printed in 2000ad with his dredd, city of the dammed on the cover.

Sad, sad news. Big fan of his work on Preacher, as well as 2000AD, especially Zenith.
RIP

Gutted when I learned of this sad news.

Have loved his work from his 2000AD days right through to his recent Punisher work.

RIP

Hard to believe that he was still in his teens when he first started drawing Dredd.

Seems he died of a ruptured appendix which he thought was food poisoning, what a way to go, 54 as well, way too young...
