Up to episode 2 so far.

It may be explained later on ( or I may have missed something ) but ... how come the robot only seems to understand/obey Will ? I am sure that wasn't the case in the original

It will be explained later on; but if you want to know
In the original the robot was man-made to serve the Robinsons

Watched Episode 2 tonight.
It's chugging a bit, but ok, hope things will start picking up a bit now we have all the bits in place.
Tonight's facepalm moment for me (and other bits) (not really spoilers but)

That said, I'm still gonna keep watching and hope it gets better

And don't forget they have no weapons readily available. Has none of the planners of this mission seen Alien or Aliens?

Good point also.

I will admit, I have been wondering what they have been eating and drinking, as normally they would be, along with shelter, the 1st three things to deal with in any situation.
The woman is annoying me a bit (hope that changes)
Don't worry about the engine overheating, change the air filters 1st as it smells a bit musty.

Episode 3 tonight for me, and, as I say, all the "characters" are now in-place so I'm hoping they can GET ON WITH IT.

It's a superb classic series, as was "Land of the Giants" so I really want this to be good......

Up to the 'infestation' episode.

I did wonder about the scene, in your spoiler, and thought it was a very "let's do this to explain anyway future plot holes" moment

Always find it amazing that, by sheer luck, and good fortune, there is a nice pretty level roadway sized clearing through natural tree's and vegetation.

It's funny as even in the UK without human intervention the chance of being able to drive any car through a naturally wooded area are going to be slim before you hit a tree or a stump, a fallen log or a rock.

And yes, I know I'm being "picky" on many of these points, but it's just the very basic stuff.

I can accept meeting an alien in a ship, far more than tree's naturally growing to allow a roadway

Still enjoying and am sure (I hope) this will all fall into place as the episodes progress.

Watched 3rd episode and made note of something important when I design my own space craft.
Make sure container box's are either fixed to the wall, or strapped down.
Really not a good idea that every time your space ship lurches a bit, your box's slide all around the floor potentially hurting you or trapping you.

Classically stupid line for 3rd episode.

Finished this last night & a few nitpicks aside (mainly Parker Posey), absolutely loved it.

The OCD in me was slightly irked by the opening credits sequence though. Some episodes had it, some just had the title & some had nothing at all. Show some consistency people!

I watched the LiS film last night to see how its aged, the dvd menu is 4.3 ratio and looks like an winamp skin from that era

Matt leblanc is playing Joey tribanni in space (in episodes he is actually quite good) Lacey Chabert sounds like she is on helium all the time and quite annoying with video logs

Will robinson is wesley crusher like and also annoying. heather graham is just there. Gary Oldman takes great delight chewing the scenery at every minute

Special effects are ok but can be dodgy in places. The time travel plot has massive holes you fit a planet through

Anything that a mature 8yr old would struggle with in this?

It's rated 12 which usually is OK but...

Watched all the episodes now and I don't remember any strong sexual references, strong violence or anything like that at all.

I can't believe it is rated 12.

The opening episode has some makeshift surgery which isn't detailed but shows a bit of blood. My dad couldn't handle that part and walked out, but he has a low tolerance for these things
People get killed violently but quickly at times, and dead bodies with injuries are seen.
I'd imagine very young kids could get scared, but a mature child should be okay.

My only concern about a young person watching this, would be the slight possibility of actually thinking this is how normal humans who are supposed to be the cream of the crop would act in reality.
It's actually making me ashamed for the human race if any other lifeforms saw this bunch of people almost all of which have some type of mental health related condition which was affecting their ability to deal with things.
I'm aware this is a fantasy program, and I can deal with any fantasy scenario, and we are going to stretch truths a bit here and there, but really, the social interactions of many of them are just off the chart.
The baddie, sadly is almost one of the most normal ones there at the moment.

I'm still watching it, enjoying it But it's just so crazy in places, with just jumps in any logic without any actual thought about how you would explain what's just happened, it's a shame.

I've watched the first two episodes & the visuals/production values are proper movie quality and the kid actors are surprisingly not annoying (yet), but it's definitely lacking in the writing/plotting departments so far....
