There's no doubt the Lucas et al., wanted a TV event so why release the first Clone Wars DVD?

This isn't really worthy of further discussion, but what the heck...

Firstly, now you seem to understand about Lucas' plans for season 3, so I don't know why you had such a problem with this earlier.

As for the release of the first two seasons on DVD, that was obviously going to happen at some point, at around 6 to 12 months after its TV debut, so a March 2005 release was about right.

Also the DVD release would have put the series back in the public eye, acting as a reminder to watch the brand new season 3 on TV.

It all seems perfectly logical to me, as would a season 3 DVD release alongside the DVD of ROTS.

Wooo. I can nearly delete the Toonami recording from my Sky+! Anyone doing pre-orders yet? I'd normally go with DVDSoon, but that's not really an option anymore...

mine arrived last week from DVD Import - watched them on friday night, its great to finally see the link up between episode ii and episode iii. Also good to see the reason why Grevious has a cough.
