Cause and Effect being one of my favourite TNG episodes, this went down well with me. I can understand why they didn't dwell too long on the repeating loop bits and just let us fill in the blanks ourselves. Like LHG, I liked that other parts of the crew got a few words in, even 'random navigator guy'

Me too, always a sucker for a good time loop/anomaly episode and this did it pretty well.

I'm sure we've all heard about this by now, but this is the article that Trek actor Anthony Rapp gave to Buzzfeed regarding the Kevin Spacey paedophile situation:

This week was certainly the most "Star Trek" the show has been, hence why it's been my favourite so far.

I was eye-rolling at first when the time-loop element was introduced but they handled it well with plenty of fresh situations & an even better performance from Rainn Wilson...

More like that please!

I thought Mudd was pretty good to be honest. I expect he will be back, though...even if not in this series.

Kind of bugged me they let him off lightly. Even in the Star Trek universe you would think that attempted murder would see him locked up for trial.

Yeah - it was a surreal way to end it all. But that's kinda Trek sometimes isn't it.

I'm really getting into this now. It's refreshing. Sometimes it doesn't feel like Trek but it's Trek made in an age of Westworld et al. It's how it should be.

Agreed but my guess is he'll be coming back.

Good episode again, surprising me a lot this.

Now I'll agree it is Star Trek.
Time-loops are great.

How many co-producers, producers and executive producers does one show need?
Most of the intro titles are taken up by these instead of the cast.

I kind of completely disagree with LeftHandedGuitarist. I thought episode 6 was the best one so far and I felt episode 7 was a bit rushed and had huge chunks missing

He's going to become the Q of this series. I mean he even addressed the captain as "mon capitaine" at one point.

Thoroughly enjoyed episode 7; far better than 6 for me.

Whilst I like this version of Mudd, it kinda grates that he has already made as many appearances in this as he did in the whole of TOS - and it is not as if he was a major character in that.

I wasn't over-enamoured with episode 6, but the time loop one was pretty entertaining.

Wasn't overly impressed with Episode 8 but loved the 'the needs of the many ... ' reference
