Just had a go on PC version. Never played the original.

Can't say that it grabbed me enough to warrant a day 1 purchase. Felt like a console game albeit running at 100fps at ultrawide 1440p.

Will wait and see.

Servers are apparently live NOW!

Numerous people currently playing online & streaming on Twitch...

So, if you have a physical copy (mine arrived earlier but I'm stuck in work!), get on there!

Anyone had a copy from Gameseek turn up? No sign of mine but they reckon it was sent out 2 days ago.

Yes.

EDIT: Even on the off chance that they do the same thing in one of the DLC's as with Destiny 1 and used the starter gun to allow you to 'skip' some of a quest line to get a new exotic version of it, it'll not stop you from getting that exotic if they ever do that again.

Nope, direct in Inventory like you're doing if the same as Destiny 1 and from what I have seen in Twitch streams it's the same mechanism.

EDIT: Yes, can confirm - just delete from inventory screen.

Played a bit this afternoon. Not got far yet, just unlocked the crucible and co-op. But pretty good so far. Kinda nice to be back after such a long break from Destiny.

Bless, they had memories at the start

Proper addictive like the first & once again it's the most satisfying FPS out there. Beautiful lighting which is so good I was convinced it was in HDR. Also gun sounds feel more meaty?

Only grumble at the moment is there is a lack of new features, just a more polished version of the original.

Is there any weird region restrictions if I buy this on US PSN? I don't think mine's ever going to turn up in the mail.

Apart from the standard DLC needing to be from the same region you should be fine.

Played with Americans in Destiny 1 fine, can't see this being any different

It's not very noob friendly. You need to have played first game to know how a lot of the mechanics work. I couldn't find a decent online beginners guide for Destiny but fortunately got some helpful advice last night from a patient veteran.

Had my first two crucible games last night - played a lot better than the COD:WW2 beta but that's not saying much.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Crucible/multiplayer in the first game but so far, I much prefer the 4v4 options in this. Think I got lucky as my team won all four of the games I've played.

Back in the main game, there's so much to do that I totally ignored the main Campaign last night & just played through the little adventure mini-levels. Plenty of variety & they feel like they are training you in the game mechanics you'll face in future raids, but obviously on a much smaller scale. Now up to level 16 & hopefully hit the magical level 20 at the weekend which unlocks everything...

I did a few crucible matches last night, where thankfully the challenge was just to play them. If I had to be on the winning team, I probably wouldn't have bothered. Everyone just feels overpowered at the moment.

As for the main game, it feels (and looks) a lot better than Destiny 1. The world feels more populated, and the gunplay is great. Not sure that it's going to have the legs, but its a promising start.

Played 2 crucible games with EvilMonkey last night. It was a riot - we were both level 1 or 2 and most other players were level 20 Got 15 kills in the 2nd game though which I was quite proud of given the sweaty opposition.
