I finished this last night and loved it. I'd like more of it but not really sure where a second season would go. Interested to find out.

Wow, saw the ads for this but assumed it was a cheesy Netflix horror knock-off…I shall add immediately to the top of my watch list!

I'm up to episode 4 and I love it.

Winona Ryder is excellent in it, as is David Harbour.

The actor who plays Mike Wheeler, has been cast as Richie Tozier in the upcoming new IT film.

Also finished this last night... Despite desperately wanting to pace myself.

Shawn Levy the Producer said .. " I’ll be amazed if people have the fortitude to take their time with Stranger Things. If they can watch an episode every several days, we’ve probably failed." ....they didn't!

It was a thing of Beauty, I felt like I was transported back in time to when I was a kid watching Spielberg, Carpenter and King Movies.

I just loved 80's Movies and 80's music even the some of the cheesy stuff and I guess the Duffer Brothers also do, they brought some of the old magic back.

Perfect!

Just checked out all the kid's casting for this on IMDb (assume it's official?) and they all look perfect. I was really hoping for Cary Fukunaga's version of this but if the cast deliver, I have a little more hope.

ANYway, yes, loved loved loved Stranger Things

I read somewhere that they have plans for a second season and it will be a sequel and not an anthology.

It's the internet so I'm sure some grumpy sod will be along from another dimension shortly with a negative review...

Thanks for the recommendations - loved it, as did the rest of the family. Must be a Season 2 surely?

I sort of like it but find it highly over-rated because although I find the set sequences very atmospheric and scary find most of the rest of it quite dull. It's just too generic, and the characters aren't standing out. Finding a lot of the scenes of talking losing my interest. Just watched episode 2 last night to see if it gets any better and it gets worse, hardly anything happens in it, and that which does made me think Akira. And the main story of the ep was just copying the same sort of thing we saw done a lot better in E.T. - a good example as Drew Barrymore's Gertie was full of personality, and Elliot full of wide-eyed wonder, it just drawed you into the scenes, this I just feel like I've seen it all before so far.
