Blimey, Christmas has come early for you lot - congratulations.
It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to steady the ship.
I'm wondering whether they are just covering themselves and they hope that they guy they bring in will actually stay on.

On the other hand, given that the Sagrada Familia is due to be finished before Tottenham's new stadium, you may well get Pochettino at the end of the season.

I think they will go for a continental Director of Football / Head Coach arrangement, and are buying time to sort it out.

Get 'arry in.....we can get Niko, Benjani, Kanu and other fantastic footballers in during January then. With his new media profile he'll be able to put an arm round Pogs and keep him in check.

Is that the 3rd time in a row he has been sacked straight after losing to Klopp? Or just the 3rd time?

Got to be Gary Megson for me.

But in reality, it's quite clear that what they want (and possibly the reason he went, there seems to be some disagreement that has lead to this specifically about the structure) is someone in there above the manager who can be blamed that isn't Woodward.

As for Pochettino, would he want the job?

The club is in a huge mess, expensive players who think (and actually can) get you sacked and so far off where the fans expect you to be, it'd take five years to sort out.

Probably a manager who wants a large pay day, I have to admit a name isn't springing to mind.

Actually, Keano as an assistant manager is a great shout, he wouldn't take **** from any of them and call them out on their woeful performances...he'd have decked Pogba by now!

Pochettino has won nothing with spurs, they're a decent side under him for sure but I don't think any of us truly see them winning the title! Moyes did well with Everton...no more needs to be said really.

Zidane is favourite methinks, no idea if that will work out any better but I am truly, truly, TRULY happy to see the back of Maureen

...it's going to be interesting, kinda looking forward to the next few matches, that's an improvement in itself!!

Don't really think you're allowed to "deck" players anymore, I'd imagine Pogba would just complain and they'd be paying Roy Keane off as well.

Zidane probably as good a shout as anyone.

Zidane's last year at Real Madrid should make Woodward run a mile in the opposite direction.

Around 23 in total. 2 at United.

Why?

More in three years at United than Liverpool won in the last ten

Solskjaer would be a fan favourite, but is it just for that reason: as a fig leaf to cover up the mess at the top and keep us quiet for a bit? How would he manage a Pogba, for example? Still, if he comes and then stays on the staff further down the line, I'd be happy.

The further down the line we get, the more stupid that Moyes decision to offload all of Fergie's old staff looks. Nothing from within anymore, sad. Like Liverpool after Daglish, we just never considered building a legacy until it was too late.

True enough and yet you've just sacked him.

Just pointing out that trophy count is not the only thing to determine a choice of next manager
