Can't believe someone is trying to seriously compare Hart to De Gea.

LOL

Something we agree on!

Hart is a typical overrated Englishman. There are 10 PL keepers at least better than him. No wonder a Man City fan is happy for Utd to sign him - its akin to me saying id be happy for Fellaini to be playing midfield at the Etihad next year.

Hart is an average keeper, who is not good enough for a top team, De Gea is one of the best in the world and only 26.

I would be devastated if this happened - thankfully there is zero chance.

Hart isn't good enough for United, but he's still better than Bravo.

You know Hart must be bad when even Liverpool who, allegedly, have two of the worst keepers in the league are not interested

Well, Schmeichel's on the shortlist along with Courtois (Chelsea), Donnarumma (AC Milan & Oblak (A. Madrid) according to report on Daily Star. Wouldn't be unhappy to have Scmeichs the younger but obviously far, far, far happier to keep DDG!

...strange no mention of the keeper legend that is 'Hart'?!

Not sure Kasper is good enough, even if it would be nice to see #1 Schmeichel on the team sheet again.

The premier league is fast becoming a conveyor belt for Spain and now China. If DDG does go (which I hope he doesn't) we should be trying to get Donnarumma if only for the fact he is 18. That way we might get five years out of him before Real decide they want him.

Clearly I'm on my own then in rating Hart - nobody remember the performance against Dortmund a few years ago?

I was speaking to a couple of United fans at work, one of whom is a season ticket holder. He reckons De Gea hasn't been up to his usual best this season.

Hart is okay, and capable of putting in a great performance, but he's been poor on a number of occasions, for England as well.

De Gea has made a couple of mistakes this season, but that only goes to show how good he has been, because he's still been excellent. Maybe a summer move is causing a distraction for him?

Any keeper can have a great couple of games, and no doubt Hart can be a very good shot stopper. But he prone to lots of errors, and his distribution is shocking. I wouldn't even take him for free.

The worst thing about letting DDG go is the uncertainty, I don't want to have a period like we did after Schmeichal. I really hope its just speculation. If he stays he could be our greatest ever keeper. He and Herrera should be in line for the captaincy next season.

No one like Sergio Romero? I think he has been quite good.

He's solid, but youth isn't on his side.

Romero is only 30, so age not really an issue. He's a fantastic backup, and I hope that he stays in that role for us. He's ended up as back up most places he's been, and thats because he's not good enough to be a no 1.

A dearth of Argentinian goalkeepers at the moment?

Indeed, just amazes me that a major international footballing nation rely on a 'number two' keeper as their number one.

Joe Hart believes he is, and that's most of his problem.

Edit: I like Romero. I can't really remember him having a bad game. If we manage to not be hopeless at Old Trafford on Thursday, it'll be interesting to see who Jose plays in goal as he's always said this was Sergio's competition. But if Sergio plays in the final, then I expect the DDG deal is already done.

I'm liking the newspapers today too. We've signed this young Pogba lad, and now there is talk of us in for Keane and Hernandez. Here's to the future!

I'm not so sure, I think it'll be rough if he drops Romero under those circumstances

Jose has laid the groundwork and said that Romero is not just the Europa keeper, and DDG has played a couple of games in the competition.

DDG is the better keeper, it would be mad not to play him in the final. He should play tomorrow as well.

Romero has played 89 times for Argentina! Mad.

Sorry, yes, if DDG has played in the competition then I have no problem. I was under the impression that Romero had played all the ties.

I firmly believe that the players that get you to a final (if we get there!) should play in that final.
