Made relatively hard work of that; not helped by Mariner missing a blatant foul on Alisson for Burnley's first goal.

Thought starting Lallana was going to be a mistake but he had a very good game.

Not long back, it was a slog, not helped by the weather (same for both sides though) we are running through treacle at the moment, too many players level has dipped. TAA was terrible (apart from that cross that resulted in Sadio "Rosenthal" Mane's miss) his delivery in the first half especially was shocking. Gini was poor again,Matip dire and Salah is just not on it at present, he wasn't bad today but nowhere near his level. Thought Lallana played well, i thought it was a mistake starting him but i was wrong. Not too confident for Wednesday, Bayern are at home, extra days rest, we will see.

Part of me suspects Salah was trying too hard to get the 'fastest to 50 goals' record. He's had the last 3 games to get the 2 goals he needed but didn't make it

It was a slog, made hard work of what should have been a fairly routine fixture. Although the first goal was a foul, these things happen, the more worrying thing is Burnley can put two past us, our defensive form of the early season seems to be leaking away a bit.

I can't see that City saw anything that would worry them based on that performance. I also felt strangely flat as each goal went in for the win, I guess because until City slip, we can win each game 10 nil and it won't matter...

So you say the first goal was a foul ( which it was ) but then criticise the team for letting it in ???

If i was City I would be worried about hat (a) they are needing ref's help/luck to get wins ( 3 games in a row ), (b) we are able to win despite being cheated by the ref and (c) United have been drawn into an almighty fight for 4th which is going to make the Manchester derby massive.

lol, City aren't worried ,don't know where you get your thoughts from.City will be content in the fact that though they will likely drop points,so will we.

Maybe worried was too strong a word but City will certainly be aware we are not going to go quietly

It's the 0-0 draws that have done us recently. We've not been creating enough chances

Not playing your first choice back 4 for the best part of 2 months doesn't help either ( and I don't care whether the replacements are still experienced internationals or not )

Until yesterday we hadn't conceded in what,4 games? United and Everton never looked like scoring against us.our issues have been in midfield and attack away from home, the defence has been fine.

The problem is no one outside the front 3 looks like scoring, so if the front 3 are off the pace we’re knackered.

We also have Origi or Lallana as options on the bench, rather than Jesus and Sane.

We're scoring ok at home, it seems to be the away games where we struggle.

Oh oh ... he's gone for the tried and trusted(?) but not very creative Gini, Milner and Henderson in midfield

Bayern were very poor and for the most part we weren't very good. But you can't really complain about a 3-1 win away to Bayern.

Stupid booking for Robertson - should have just let him run past

We'll play Milner there, no question.
