Sadly not, BT will want another £5 for it to go on the mini. I believe they are open to negotiation though particularly if you are out of contract. I will be trying post 22/4 when my Q is installed.

I have a feeling this isn't doing as well as they had hoped. I have just had a call from their Sky Q team asking for feedback as to why I hadn't taken my interest forward. I explained all the reasons and the guy sounded like he had heard all the answers before and was resigned to the fact.

I really don't need it at the moment otherwise I might have tried to push him for a special deal

I almost buckled until I was notified my bill was going up by £5 a month.

It would cause more issues than it solves especially as we use video senders using the scart socket.

I got the £99 off email 3 days back, and then the your bill is going up £3.50 a month the day after. That and the downgrade from 3tb to 2tb and the mentioned above possible 4way battle over the inputs with the mother, and the single EPG list AND my current VERY full Sky+ box means I'm interested but not as much as I was...

Its the installation charge that's the kicker for me. Even with this £99 loyalty bonus (which I've not had any notification of yet), I'm not sure how they come up with the need to charge it to someone who has been a customer for 15-20 years on top of the increased monthly charges. Or maybe I'm being tight.... (awaits the Scottish remarks).

Nope, me too.

TBH it's the installation charge and the need for new cabling that are the main issues for me. We've just finished a year of redecorating and there is no way I want some Sky engineer to muck things up.

Well just did the dance via the live chat on Sky.com, after being told 'she didn't know' and 'I would have to call the sales team' about any reduction in the £149 setup fee, Angela finally advised you are only eligible for a £99 reduction if you have been a Sky customer for at least ten years with no breaks in service.

Interestingly though she explained the £99 was for 'advanced Sky Q features' - after she broke them down and highlighted most of them are relevant for Sky Broadband customers it turns out for me the £99 would enable me to record and search TV.

Stunning.

Guess I will wait until sales don't hit their projected targets and they start pimping a better deal.

It'll be interesting to see if 4k attracts another charge.

The blurb on the website says it won't.

What will the additional charge for UHD subscription be?

There will not be any additional subscription charge for viewing any UHD programmes when they are available, they will be included in Sky Q Silver subscription bundle.

They won't change the cable unless there is a problem with it, all they do is fit a new LNB.

I don't regret getting Q and wouldn't want to go back however at the moment I wouldn't recommend it for a household with multiple users due to you all sharing the one planner.

Sky HD box seems to be on its last legs... Signal strength is good for both lines, but mini TV is mostly unavailable, recordings fail intermittently and some channels just don't work (sometimes) all due to no signal apparently.

I guess its time to see whether to stick with Sky and give them even more money or try and cut the cord....

Mine has just started to do this, won't show info on any show, won't record and if you do start to record it says no signal even though it's almost full strength.

I've made the jump to Q as the offer was there and the increase isn't really noticeable. It's coming Monday. What was good was the minute i ordered Q i was suddenly able to get fibre as well even though I've been told for months the cabinet is too full. Strange that eh?

Got a friends and family offer for Sky Q the other day which was free sports and movies for the full 18 months and £10 installation, so decided to go for it. Installation not until 10th June though!

Were you an existing Sky customer when you took up this deal or a new customer?
