Well it was a decent enough opening. I keep forgetting how awesome the make-up effects are in this.

An extra long episode for, yet again, nothing to really happen

And the decision for the flashbacks being in b&w ? Do they just presume the audience would be too dumb to work it out, or where they going for a "works in the comics" thing

It's the show I find the hardest to give up on despite the fact it seems like it should be the easiest

I love the show jsut for the fact its hero main character is such a break out of the box shade of grey.

Last ngihts felt like a 70s zombie movie to me, from the rumbling soundtrack to the washed out colours, and the story of a plan based around what happening with zombies and lorries jsut made me think of Dawn of the DEad.

Slightly confused weren't the wolves using lorries and rounding up zombies around them as a trap, no i think that was an earlier storyline, wasn'tt hat jsut after they left the prison they came across the articulated lorry trap?

The Wolves thing is still ongoing. They were mentioned in the ep. I think they inferred Daryl killed some. They are most likely responsible for the klaxon. Attacking when the main fighting force isn't there.

Found it silly how the zombies all stuck to the road in a pretty orderly fashion Decent enough episode though and good see the opening scene wasn't a taster of what's in the finale like some shows tend to do. Could have done without the 'flashbacks' though, really was no need for it when it could have just been in order...

enjoyed it but didn't find it too gripping - like the big zombie herd but felt like there wasn't much character progression

So where were they leading the zombies to? Would have made more sense to shore up the barriers holding the zombies in the quarry and let it fill up!.... Not sure what you'd do then, but seems better than trying to move them.

'West' was the only explanation they gave. Didn't make sense as they wouldn't keep going 'West'. They'd just disperse again and more than likely come back.

And the reason they had for not leaving them in the quarry was the trucks used for blocking were on the verge of sliding off. It's all a bit daft really as I'm sure zombies were capable of crawling under them or over the rocks that'd been put on either side.
But yeah, as you say, would have made much more sense to put up a fence behind the trucks while they had time instead of heading back and coming up with that silly plan!

They would of been better off blocking off the quarry with the quick ramp making skills then molotov the horde and thin them out as catch on fire. I know what they did with leading the horde away is more "interesting TV" but my god the writers make the characters dumb

Rick is a few heads in fishtank away from turning into the governor mark 2 but that Carter guy deserved to die. Ninja zombies struck again

You can tell they tried to up the spectacle with the Zombie heard due the competition from Z-Nation. But when it comes to Crazy fun and mad scenes Z-Nation has it hands down

Unfortunately it loses out on script writing, acting ability, production quality and many other things that make good TV.

I know it gets a lot of love on here, I tried it twice and managed 5 episodes. It's just too awful on too many levels. The comedy is good at times, the ones I saw the Liberty Bell was a highlight but that alone can't make me watch it. It's exactly what I'd expect of The Asylum production company, although to be fair it is possibly better than the mockbuster garbage they churn out.

I would have to disagree with you on at least acting ability and script writing, the actors improve vastly after the first few episodes and as a group make far less stupid mistakes and decisions then the TWD lot. Also Murphy is probably the best character on TV right now, you're missing out on what he turns into.

The may not have the production quality of the TWD but they do far more with the budget to keep it interesting. And after 1 million+ zombie march you can tell TWD has ripped off the idea from that. Sometimes i can forgive less then perfect effects if the execution and ideas are good.

I like the first episode, but I thought last seasons was much more powerful at the Terminal with Carol.

We know there is no real logic to the decisions, but in the opener I would have tried to thin the herd too at that cliff face where they took a dive. Just make a lot of noise to draw them away from the weak points to the cliff, then drop heavy stones (to save ammo), bob's your zombie uncle!
