Taking over from Larry King is no big deal, he's a semi-senile hack who admitted to never preparing for interviews, frequently had no idea what his guests were talking about and often made bizarre statements (such as asking Sharon Tate's sister how she could talk to Roman Polanski after he so horribly murdered her). He got the job when CNN was small, lucked into a certain level of fame when the network hit it big and had no real competition, and he's had no ratings for years since the advent of MSNBC and Fox news. Hopefully he's created the perfect black hole for Morgan to get sucked into.

It's funny how things change. When Piers ******* **** **** Morgan was editor of the Mirror it was all the rage to slag off soldiers, but now people round on you for slightest slur against them. They are all heroes now.

I'm no fan either, but there is a proper journalist in there trying to get out.

"A proper journalist trying to get out"???

Piers Morgan has spent his entire journalistic career obsessing over celebrities and their private lives, relying on lies, scandal and exposé to further his career. There is nothing about him at all that could be described as a "proper journalist".
