The Deep

Not sure what I thought about that.

Acting was poo, CGI was rubbish, but I still want to see what happens next

Agree with that. Cheesy as hell. Cross between The Abyss and SeaQuest.

If you think about the whole premise though you can really go to town and pick it to pieces..what kind of ship doesn't have any mechanical back up i.e. the doors closed and the powers down so we can't open it....and what kind of mini one man sub doesn't have a cutting tool like Inner Space?

One thing I thought was weird:

I enjoyed it. Yeah theres a few holes in the plot but looked good (although the CGI in some points was very noticeable) and acting wasn't as rubbish as some make out

This.

My only real problem with it - & yes, I realise I'm taking it wayyyy too seriously - was the young girl who died. She was clearly far too emotional & nervous & fragile from the first time you met her. There's no way anyone like that would be let on a sub for a day, let alone a 2 week mission!

I thought that as well, they all came across has a bunch of ill-disciplined morons
that might as well have vented the sub to the sea 10 minutes after diving to put everyone out of their misery and

Saying all that, I'll watch the next one to see what happens.

I thought the script was the worst thing actually - some of the dialogue was appalling.

An X files episode crossed with alien (woman who will panic if locked in a wardrobe, company man who obviously knows more yet they don't beat him to within an inch of his life to make him talk, vessel and crew unsuited to the mission) and the strange vessel probably The Event Horizon.

This is getting worse

When he was shining the torch up his nose and he asked what he was looking for, I was waiting for someone to say 'a plot'.

Terrible story, terrible acting, terrible sets and so cheesy.
