Glee - season one

'Glee' starts in the US on Fox after the season finale of American Idol.
It looks quite fun in a light way, sort of High School Musical meets Popular (which I'm sure will automatically put a lot of forumites off)!
Jane Lynch is of course hilarious so I'm looking forward to this!

Here's a couple of trailers:

Didn't know there was a thread for this.

I'm not sure quite what to make of it, but i'm definitely intrigued. Seems very different and quirky, which worries me as the last quirky show I enjoyed on Fox was Wonderfalls, and that ended badly.

Still, I'm all for giving the first ep a go and taking it from there...

Well, I enjoyed it. It was a bit slow in places, and I have no idea how they can make an entire series out of it, but there was enough to make me come back for more. I didn't know it was just a preview though. Episode 2 won't be until the Autumn.

The lead girl can SING! Very cute too!

Heads up - A "directors cut" of the pilot got aired last night - much added?

Was going to re-watch the pilot as that was aired 3 months ago!

didn't see the original pilot, but watched the extended cut this morning (was about 46 mins long)

thought it pretty good (although I'm not sure if, as a married man in this 40's, I should be watching this sort of thing)

think I'll stick with it

Quite enjoyed the pilot but can't see how they will string it out for a whole season.

Finally watched (the director cut) this as it starts properly next week.

Didn't think i'd like it but was impressed. I liked the off-centre quirkiness of it all & definitely had a Ryan Murphy (I love Nip/Tuck) feel to it.

Not sure how long it'll last on Fox though.

Just watched episode 2 and loved it. Still have no idea how they can make a full series out of it, but i'm hopeful.

Has this been picked up in the UK yet? I hope they do what they've done in the states and put the music up on iTunes after every episode. Considering purchasing an American iTunes card just so I can get the songs.

Channel 4 appears to have picked it up. Nothing has been said about a broadcast date.

Gotta agree, loved the 2nd episode as much as the first. With the new US tv-show season starting, this has set the bar high.
