Groan! I don't need any more convincing; though it's a shoe-in for customs, I've switched from Amazon to DVD Pacific. At least with their new sale, it works out nearly a couple of quid cheaper AND it will get here quicker.

I'm still waiting for my John Ford Collection to ship from Pacific - been checking my account every day religiously.

Typing in 'John Ford' into the search field gets you this, Osc.

BTW, they are still listed as 'pre-order' because we've yet to hit the official street date (even though DVD Pacific is shipping the Wayne / Ford box already). That's normal for them.

Got the shipping confirmation for my Wayne/Ford Collection from Amazon.com - fingers crossed it's here for next weekend.

I've been waiting patiently for a review of The Searchers with some screen-caps, because there have been very few comments about the framing - the previous R2 was appalling in that respect - but DVD Journal's review has set my mind at rest, at least until the Beaver turns up a comparison.

This waiting; terrible ain't it?

Very likely; including the heinous Royal Mail 'handling charge' add about £7.50-£9 to your bill. The likliehood of a hit is why I've ordered both sets in one shipping (at least it will only be one handling charge), but after swtitching from Amazon to DVD Pacific, there's no sign of movement. Serves. Me. Right.

Look away now chaps, you don't want to watch a grown man cry...

Pacific don't ship during the weekend, John. It's frustrating but you have to get your order in by noon on Fridays to have it shipped before the weekend. Yours will most likely be shipped tonight. The Wayne/Ford set also counts as 11 items so your order will probably be split up, due to the 12-item limit per order.

Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

EDIT: well, actually no! I contacted Pacific who have told me that they will waive that rule in this case. The Wayne/Ford box item is now 'filled', now all we need is the Coach.

Thanks agsalex for the heads up.

For anyone who hasn't already ordered the JW/JF set there's a 20% discount code floating around for DeepDiscountDVD, see the the bargain forums. The set works out just under £30 inc. Which should help towards stemming the haemorrhagging, inflicted on ones wallet, by those wonderful people at Mount Pleasant.

Delivered it comes to $55.37, which equates to £30.06 according to www.xe.com ; I'd have saved a fiver had I gone with DDD instead of Pacific on both sets, but as they've now shipped, it's academic.
