Netflix UK streaming recommendations

I started this thread up as after many pages into the other thread, there was barely a recommendation for UK Netflix. Most were US .

I have a Roku and not in the position of changing the DNS on my router, and would like recommendations for films available in the UK .

Mods, close if you feel this is a dupe, its just I found the other thread frustrating as it assumed everyone was in a position to stream from Netflix US as well .

I reckon a thread should be done separately for Netflix / LoveFilm etc...and separate again for UK / US .

So hit me!

Just watched the BBC Auschwitz documentary. Some rather good/scary interviews.

Just a wee question people. I've got Netflix set up through the PS3 but any time I try to access the online service on my pc it's asking me to join. Any ideas what I'm doing/have done wrong? Thanks.

you need to sign in, that's all.

wns,

There are loads of really good movies on Netflix, just scanning through the categories on the pc you see lots if you search through genres. To start you off, try Warrior.

It'd help some if you give us an idea of your tastes.

Here's a few more good ones from just a quick scan through the genres:

Battle Royale
Gross Point Blanke
Starship Troopers
Drive Angry
Troll Hunter
Shaolin Soccer
Super Troopers
Tucker and Dale Vs Evil
KEntucky Fried Movie
Planet Terror
Tron
Capote
Seventh Seal
Mean Streets

... etc

give us an idea what you like?

Sorry I wasn't clearer. After I sign in on the PC I get taken to a page that asks me to start a month's free trial. I think I'm gonna have to give them a call because I've had it on the ps3 for months now and have been paying for it. Just can't understand why I can't access and watch through the pc.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Great little film, but worth it for the wood chipper moment alone

Watched this last night for the first time and loved it. As you say, great little film.

Haven't bothered going USNF yet due to there still being tons of TV series I never saw the first time round that are quite good to excellent.

A small list in no particular order:

4400
Jericho
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Lost

Documentary Film:

Being Elmo - another vote for this puppetering doc
The Corporation-a little dated now but interesting stuff
Tesla- intriging oddity about the discoverer of AC power
Bikini- atomic tests in the fifties

2012- surprisingly entertaining nonsense.

Hunting The Lost Symbol- Dan Brown stuff but with full factual context included.

The Killing- another gripping US series of Scandinavian origin

Inheritance-troubled daughter of nazi is both comforted and lambasted on camera by holocaust survivor.Vivian "keeping the memory alive" even though this was a spectacular backfire on the empathy front as far as I saw- before switching off prematurely.

Collapse- worth a look docu

Gone Baby Gone- this was very well done

Dexter-halfway through S2 and really enjoying this.Initially the intention was to use it as a buffer to stop me speeding through Breaking Bad S4, so it's working for me so far.

The Horde - french zombie film. Fairly decent and does not shy away from the brutal kills
