I must admit that I wanted to marry Glynis Barber when I first watched this when I was around 10 or 11 years old.

I'd probably still consider it now!

Just a general question, do these transfers look like there sourced from existing tapes from someones archives or proper transfers sourced from the original negatives?

Looking at the caps they look more video sourced rather than going back to the original negatives.

I've spotted a cut to an episode in the Series 2 set, Tequila Sunrise. The whole sequence of the cafe owner having his hand put in the chip fan is gone!

Maybe these transfers have come from the daytime programming team at Granada Plus!!!!

I noticed that too: the narrative doesn't really make sense without it, as the scene leads up to that.

Shame, as it's an excellent episode of the second series.

Thanks for the heads up. Saw this for £16 today in HMV and was going to get it but something told me to wait and read a few reviews first.

Just a heads-up for fans of the series that the final Series 3 is available on DVD from 23 October 2006; available on pre-order here.

9-disc box-set will be an eye-watering £119.99 (RRP £149.99)!

Surely that's a misprice for all 3 seasons? Buy them all individually and the RRP is only £75.

All I remember from Series 3 is that Makepeace changes her car to a white Escort cabriolet. Don't remember much else, as I've not seen the third series for 20 years!

They have - there's cuts to most of the episodes as released by Network.

But the uncut series is available on DVD in Portugal.

Tried to send this via private message but it didn't work. Forgive me if I'm breaking any rules but I purchased all three series of D & M from:

https://www.blueplanetdvd.com/app/cliapp/Entry.tea

The episodes come with Portugese subtitles, but they're easily removable.

I'm just resurrecting this to ask a question that's bugging me:

I can only find two examples of the opening credits online and they're both just music. I was sure there used to be a narration over them by Spikings. So if it wasn't this show, what show was it? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? A kind (very cheesy) refresher of what it was about a la Knight Rider's one I guess.
