Show me/us your TV display units/stands...

I'm looking for inspiration...moved into a new flat and have carted my old tv stand with us. It's a 3 tier black glass thing with chrome legs. Very functional but I'm after something different. I currently have a 42" plasma on top bit, PS4 and centre Kef egg speaker on middle shelf and Denon 1802 amp, BT box, and 2 Kef egg speakers on bottom shelf. Hardly use the amp/surround much anymore as subwoofer has packed up. Sorry for being long winded but...

Thinking of getting a new TV, prob 49-55" LED. Don't use PS4 much now, only for odd dvd. Anyways, what do you have your kit on? My gf likes the look of the Dogtas Pasifica unit, bit pricy tho at around £1k (but 25% off in sale) I'd like something a bit more minimalistic, TV on wall poss surrounded by shelving/cabinets with something below to house other kit if necessary. Show me what you have please

I'm planning on wall mounting and getting a Sonos soundbar...if I can get a telly with Freesat recording then I won't need anything else.

IKEA Besta seems to be quite popular on the AVForums (sorry to swear )

Was also thinking going for a Sonos soundbar to eliminate need for the amp and surrounds. I know it won't be the same as a full surround sound set up but hardly watch DVDs anymore. Will still need something to record progs on ie the bt box or poss switch to sky. I have Kodi on a fire stick but that is flaky a lot of the time esp for live stuff.

I think mine might be a Besta (looks like an older version than what they have on their website now) and it does the job. It's got a slight droop in the middle and that's only with a 40" TV but its not too noticeable.

I prefer chunky rustic oak, to thin Ikea-style chipboard, so went with this lovely piece..

Keep in mind, if sitting togeher with a TV on one unit, that you may need some height clearance for the TV. I love the soundbar but didn't factor in how high it was, even when laid flat, so about 2 inches of the bottom of the TV are obstructed for me. I've yet to find a decent method to elevate the TV.

Can't you simply put the soundbar behind the TV ? Shouldn't affect the sound much.

Or how about :

TV Pedestal Base (£30 eBay)

Monitor Screen Riser (£17 amazon)

I designed a dresser unit that was deep enough and wide enough to house my AV equipment and sub. Got a company in manchester to build it. Works a treat especially after the wife found a good IR reciever to control it all without having the doors open. TV is on the wall with all the cabling recessed into the plasterwork. And then they changed the HDMI standard.
