I'm liking this so far, shame it will probably be over shadowed by Max Payne 3. I don't really get the COD comparisons, yes this is dumbed down compared to the previous titles but it is still a stealth based cover shooter and rewards you for being silent. The only difference is you can now fight your way out if you screw up and get spotted.

This is infinitely better than Max Payne 3. Without a word of exaggeration, I had more fun in 2 hours on this than a week of Max Payne.

Going by the number of people I saw buying this today in town I think it'll do just fine. There's a lot of Ghost Recon fans out there.

I agree with every word mate. The African mission with the sand storm early on in the game was a bigger highlight than anything that happens throughout the entire duration of Max Payne 3.

Yup I'm liking it too after a very brief play. It is dumbed down though.. You would have to have not played the previous games to disagree. All the set pieces are straight out of COD too

Not very impressed myself, game seems broken to me (or godawful at tutorials).
I'm at a part in the first level where i have to kill some guys without alerts, but after the first stealth kill anyone else needs to be shot only as soon as i do, they are alerted and i fail.
The only hint is i need to take down isolated targets but am not told which ones

Very poor

Russ and I managed it with superior teamwork.

Been playing the single player campaign of this for the last few hours and if I play another single player as dull as this the rest of the year I'll be very surprised. It's by no means bad at all, it's all very technically accomplished but I don't find it very exciting to play in the slightest, the guns feel particularly weak and the enemy reactions laughable (which stands out even moreso after playing Max Payne 3 so recently)

Of course I can't speak for the Guerilla or Multiplayer modes and they've traditionally been pretty good in the Ghost Recon games so I'm sure fans will have a lot to dig into. I'm starting to find all these Tom Clancy games blending into each other mechanics wise. I wish they'd be a bit more adventurous or do one game that at least goes back to its roots.

Well i tried changing weapons but i obviously did it wrong, problem is when i failed, the checkpoint returns you to the point after you changed weapons so i was stuck with a weapon without a silencer and therefore could not finish the mission

There's an ammo crate to the right where it tells you to swap to a silenced weapon. Did that not show for you?

As i tried to explain, it let me carry on without changing weapons after i ballsed it up, messed up the mission and the checkpoint is after where you change to a supressed weapon, so i couldn't change my weapon

I just retried the mission to move on

Tbh, if I remember rightly, I don't even think you need to use the weapon. I went to the right, did 2 stealth kills and then it went to the breach and the cut scene. You are forced to go loud after that ...

You have a few seconds to make the kills even after you're spotted

How do you change weapons? There's so many buttons I can't think of one not used to change weapons with.
