I've just started catchin some of these on 'Good Food' channel, and I agree with that above.

By the time he's finished the monster challenges, I usually feel full and sick myself!! Some fo the recent ones I've seen are the 6lb Burrito, the breakfast taco challenge, the Dagwood Sandwich and the 72oz Steak!

While some fo the challenge meals are obviosuly one-off specials at the restaurants, some of the standard meal portion sizes are still just

I'm surprised he hasn't had a heart attack yet! It makes me feel sick just thinking about how much he's eaten and what he must be feeling like after he's put all that food away. I know how I feel if i've eaten too much once in a while. And it's nowhere near as much as he's eaten.

But it's still entertaining.

I don't think he would do this everyday in his normal life. Plus not all the challenges are about the amount of food. But either way, can't be healthy!

I remember him saying that he hits the gym to offset the food he eats. Yeah right. In terms of calories he probably doesn't each that much during a days filming, probably 4,000 max for the challenges. He probably doesn't eat before hand or after

He wouldn't be able to eat like that if he didn't have the appetite though, and that comes from regularly eating large portions. Being hungry doesn't necessarily mean you can eat huge amounts.

I read that too, but probably on here! Or a vegetarian, can't remember which.

Doesn't mention it on wikipedia (the home of conclusive fact):

Quote:
Although described as "a bit on the husky side", to maintain his health while indulging for his show on The Travel Channel's Man v. Food (which he began hosting in 2008), Richman exercises twice a day while he is on the road.[1][4] When the schedule permits, he does not eat the day before a challenge and he tries to stay "crazy hydrated" by drinking lots of water or club soda and forgoing coffee or soft drinks.[5]

I saw that episode quite recently and thought I would actually like to try those wings. I love spicy food and wouldn't mind giving them a try.

The one where he had to try and drink (eat!) about 4 gallons of milkshakes was brutal..!

There's was few places I'd love to try but my fave was prolly the one with the open barbeque pit in the middle of the restaurant..
