Nintendo Wii - advice wanted

Looking for advice guys - the missus wants a Wii fit for Christmas, and I'd prefer to get it in black to match the TV and PS3.

1. Where's the best price available nowadays?

2. Does it output in full HD via HDMI, or does it use component cables which I'd need to buy again like the Gamecube had?

3. What game would you recommend for a 30-year-old woman who generally doesn't like playing games? ie not a shoot-em-up or beat-em-up, perhaps something cute or puzzley...

Many thanks chaps and chapesses!

Mmmm.....something cute and puzzley for someone who doesnt like games...are you sure the Wii is your best bet?

The only answer to the questions I know there is 2 - no, I dont think it does HD and you need component cables or something like them.

i assume you mean a black WIi and wii fit?

not sure there are any girly games, ohhh actually i have greys anatomy, not played it yet but should be mini games and cute doctors.

I got my bundle for £179 (damn white though) and then sold the 2 games with it for £50 imediatly. so look for bundle deals with popular games, even if you don't want those games.

1. Best deal I've seen on the black was the Wii, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and Motion Plus for £165.

2. It doesn't do full HD - component gives the best quality picture you can get off it.

3. Loads of options here. Zack & Wiki is pretty puzzley, though may feel a little too much like a mainstream game for her, ditto Twilight Princess. There are a fair few decent puzzle games available though WiiWare for a few quid each. For cute and puzzley you can't beat LostWinds, and LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias.

Yeah, looking for both a black Wii and a Wii fit (colour doesn't matter for the board you stand on), thanks Catherine.

Thanks for the advice, Stat. Would you mind telling me where you saw that deal? Cheapest I've found online so far is £179.99 and that doesn't include Motion Plus, whatever that is.

I think the Wii LE Black Bundle @ Game is what statto is referring to. Gets you the black console, 1 motionplus thingy, original wii sports & new wii sports resort.

I'd suggest Boom Blox and/or its sequel as a good puzzle game. I barely play the Wii but when I got that I actually spent a couple of hours on it.
