[Netflix] Stranger Things

Awesome looking 1980s mystery/sci-fi thing is available today. Looks like a love letter to Spielberg films of old.

Really looking forward to giving this a watch tonight.

I absolutely loved Super 8 and more 80's nostalgia combined with a sci-fi/supernatural vibe is a win for me.

First ep living up to the promise. Like a darker Eerie Indiana meets Freaks and Geeks. Really great score too

Is this a show for kids or adults? They emailed me about it but it looks like its listed under the kids section when I log in.

Loved the first episode!

It's not a kids show, but neither is it as adult as many other Netflix programmes. Think of the family movies that were released in the 1980s (Indiana Jones, ET, etc.). A little bit sweary, a bit gory, but not over-the-top.

This looks like Super 8 the series. Which isn't a bad thing. Can't wait to start watching tonight.

So good, and very cine literate, I counted 3 or 4 references to 70/80's films in the first episode.

Just on the final episode now. This is the best thing Netflix have done, and that's saying something. Really hope it's just the first season of more to come.

Just about to start ep.4 & tempted to binge watch it all as it's been superb so far. Captures the 80's feel perfectly from soundtrack to visuals to the whole vibe of the show.

WOW!
I am not exaggerating when I say that's one of (if not) the best things I've ever watched.
I loved everything about it.
I hope there are further seasons.

Just finished watching the last six episodes back-to-back. So much for vowing never ever to binge watch! Despite it lacking anything original & offering every horror-Sci-fi cliche imaginable, this was immensely enjoyable throughout. The easiest way to sum it up is: A 80's Stephen King greatest-hits, directed by Spielberg & scored by John Carpenter.

Just finished it tonight. Absolutely loved it. Not sure how Netflix keeps pumping out such great shows.
