Project Blue Book

Has anyone watched the opening episode of History Channel's Project Blue Book which premiered in the USA in January and in the UK last week? It is about the investigation into the UFO phenomenon by Dr Allen Hynek in the late 50s and 60s. Probably the most scientifically orientated investigation into that subject.

As a young man back in the 70s, I used to be a big UFO buff and for several years even a member of APRO. I have had Brad Steiger's book on Project Blue Book for over 40 years. Good to see that it was made into a TV show after all those years.

Wasn’t it made into a tv show already ?
Swore I read that this is a “remake” as such of a much older show
Heard some good things about it

Yep, watched episode 1 back in January. Didn't really grab me. Felt like something made in the late 90s in the wake of The X-files & had been sitting in a dusty cupboard ever since. Back then, I probably would have devoured it, but my tastes (& the quality of TV) have moved on.

Always nice to see Aidan Gillen & Neal McDonough get more work though.

I think this is a remake but with a more scientific outlook and input into it. Will wait and see.
