Quite the opposite, Discovery has been a massive success both critically and financially. That's exactly why we're now getting 5+ new Trek series and new films.

UK season 1 blu-ray coming on November 19th. There's also a limited edition steelbook in some territories.

My first thought when I saw that was damn no HDR version which looked really my nice on Netflix. I also very much dislike this habit of steelbooks only in some territories.

Don't they often try to sell them to someone as a HMV (or whoever) exclusive, maybe just not announced yet.

Short Treks broadcast schedule revealed. Presumably, these will be on Netflix the same day over here.

Teleplay by Michael Chabon. Story by Sean Cochran and Michael Chabon. Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi.

“The Brightest Star” – Thursday, Dec. 6

They might as well say illegally download these then folks. Also seems like a pointless series, they call it a mini series but it's 4 shorts 15 minutes each. Doesn't mini series imply some sort of story arc?

Sounds similar to what they did with BSG between seasons 2 and 3

I've had an email already from CBS with a discount for their streaming service that shows Discovery here in America. I'm not re-subscribing until Discovery comes back. I only used it for the first season of Discovery cancelling as soon as it was over.

Short Treks are exciting because as they go on they could potentially explore/revisit any era or character from Star Trek. As well as experimenting with brand new ideas and testing the water. A lot of potential fun

They will only revisit things they already have sets for, you won't get anything that needs new elaborate constructions. It would be nice to get a Janeway, Archer or any other alumni doing a short but I imagine this is something will abandon very quickly once they ramp up the number of shows they have.

Season 2 poster, which apparently contains clues as to what the season will be all about.
I can't wait for this to come back.

I was going to take a screenshot of their list, it's huge but I'm at work and have now discovered it's blocked.

They have Big Bang Theory and all the Star Treks. The Mrs LOVES Survivor and they have all the seasons on there so she's as happy as a pig in ****.

They look a bit soft compared to the wings in the Romulan Logo if they had gone with green it would be a dead cert. Red though is more a Klingon colour, I'm thinking the Organians come in and do a little tinkering
