I have watched the first two episodes too and thought it wasn't bad. Looks like it is about to kick into gear.

I really liked The Umbrella Academy. Robert Sheehan and young Aidan Gallagher completely stole the show, along with Pogo.
The last 3 episodes could have been a bit tighter and the ending was a little Deus Ex Machina but completely forgivable. Overall worth a look and even a binge watch imo.

I've read that the script for this is excellent & unlike the recent Bohemian Rhapsody, it is unfiltered & shows the darkest side of rock music & is totally ****** up. Hopefully Netflix had the stones to not tone it down...

I'm not sure after the R Kelly charges and Ryan Adams accusations it's exactly the best time to glorify literal cock rockers but we'll wait and see...

This is a retro one that might just be good for the nostalgia but the Aussie TV series Heartbreak High from back in the 90's has been added to Prime!

Anyone else remember it from BBC2 back in the day?

Yeah I used to watch that.

I remember the Aussie/Greek bird (someone Demetriou?) had a small part in the Matrix.

I guess being in an Ozzie soap never really bothered your career as I guess they were not huge stars in the US like they were in the UK. Never really got over seeing Jim Robinson or Jesse popping up in something mainstream.

You can see why they did it though, the only UK work they'd get is in panto

Without seeing it I'm going to say probably mean spirited and full of 'ironic' comedy that is far less clever than it thinks it is.

It's so, so much more than that. Funny and touching. Great stuff.

(He is still mean spirited though :-D )

EDIT - just finished. Absolutely loved it...best TV I've seen for ages.
