Buy the boxset from Japan and you get a very nice limited edition (of 6000) Blue Rose T-Shirt.

Works out about £138 before shipping though, so don't think I'll be doing that.

I really hope the packaging is really going to be the same everywhere, I'm gonna be so mad if the UK gets stiffed on this.
I am a little surprised they're not include a copy of 'The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer' seeing as it's an essential part of "the entire mystery". I remember poring over that when the series first aired trying in vain to get an inkling of who done it! It was kinda pornographic too (but I was only just 15 at the time so I might be misremembering)!

*mind blown*

It's official! David Lynch is finally giving what Twin Peaks fans have been aching for for over twenty years, a continuation and proper ending of Twin Peaks!

In the press release from CBS, they have revealed not only that David has edited together the missing Fire Walk With Me scenes into a standalone mini movie, but he also has shot and edited together a new epilogue which will finally cast light on the ultimate fate of Dale Cooper after the series ending!

A look at the packaging here. Love the hidden compartment - hope we get the same in the UK.

This looks immense. I hadn't pre-ordered for the very reason of comparing releases near the time. This isn't a limited edition set though, is it?

I've not heard mention. Unless maybe the packaging drops back to a more standard casing at some point.

No, me neither. But I was also wondering if that would happen due to the beautiful and elaborate packaging.

I can't see demand being that high anyway to be fair. Very much a niche market.

I dunno. I know BR is only appealing to a sub-section of a fan base who have already probably bought the DVDs, but we've reached a kinda (twin) peak nostalgia point. Folks who watched it first time around are in their mid-late 30s at least, we've had the big cast re-union for the launch of the set, and there's a good new book out about the series (the first one since the tie-in books at broadcast!). The UK TP Fest later this year upgraded to a bigger venue.

Sure, it's niche/culty but nothing will raise interest levels to this point again short of a new series being commissioned. It's not gonna sell 100,000 copies, but still ...

Yeah. I've not got stuck into it properly. Guy spoke to pretty much everyone involved in the show bar Lynch. Only negative I've seen is via an Amazon review that points out he doesn't spend enough time on FWWM, basically 'cos he doesn't like it.

I'm 145 pages in. It's really good.
Great recollections and detailed account of its conception..

Has it got the hidden compartment like the US set? In fact, how does it compare in general?

It's absolutely identical to the US edition, shown here:

http://twinpeaksarchive.blogspot.co....y-blu-ray.html

Yes, it includes the secret compartment with torn note which reads "fire walk with me"
