Hush, this is the steelbook thread, we don't talk about 'normal' versions here.

I bunged in a preorder but tbh unless they drop the price I'll probably cancel it... £24 is taking the mickey really. Especially as I have zero interest in anything 3D.

Actually, going to see it tomorrow night so that may decide it for me

And thanks for the explanation about HMV. Like others I'm still waiting on my Total Recall and a few other standard blu rays!

Lol that crossed my mind too! Guess only time will tell!

Received my Total Recall Steelbook today from HMV and they're not using the bubble wrap envelopes anymore...instead they've just thrown it into a plastic wrap bag. Morons. Why are companies so stupid!!

It's only temporary by all accounts. While they relocate.

My Batman came wrapped in a plastic bag. No padding/bubble-wrap at all. By sheer fluke it arrived unscathed.

Yeah it's got a ding in the front. It's annoying, I want my collection to be mint. They probably think its being petty, but still.

Glad to hear your Batman arrived fine though, what's it like? I'm in two minds about it. I read somewhere it's numbered? Is this true?

I know what you mean, I sent a Terminator Salvation back to Play because it had a ding in the front. But at the end of the day you paid for a product, which has arrived damaged. Send it back in the same plastic bag they sent it in and it'll probably look even worse by the time it gets back to them.

Mine will hopefully turn up today then, fingers crossed the postie is gentle

I was looking into this again last night and on the Hidefninja forum (can't link to is as it's blocked at work) someone posted pics and it just has one disc. I can't imagine they moved all the features from the DVD across so it looks like I'll stick with the amaray.

Well, I thought it was terrific, despite some minor flaws. Saw it at the Vue here in Aberdeen which has huge screens and big sound, so it had a real impact. Which might not come across so well on a TV...

So... cancel or not? Well, the £24 price is still a sticking point... but I would like to get it on blue at some point

Finally decided to buy a few from the Play sale last week and now they have arrived, very glad I did so! They are fantastic, and the packaging for delivery was absolutely first class. Went for:

Fight Club
Taken
Man on Fire
X Men: Wolverine

Cannot wait to watch them!
