I am finding steelbooks are making me blind buy films that I've not seen like Chronicle and Super 8 but not regretted any purchases yet.

Anyone got any predictions for future steels? I think Prometheus and Dark Knight Rises are pretty likely.
I'd prefer the original title too, but would love the steel if its definitely the black A.
The only missing post-credits scene was when they all went for a Kebab wasnt it? I can live without that minor scene personally

Yeah, that's all that's missing (although I've no idea why it was ditched in the first place ), which is why I'm loathe to spend loads trying to get an import copy. If the rumoured director's cut comes out too, that'll be even more to spend on it.

Wasn't it only filmed the day of the premier or something? Don't think it adds much to the film really.

You could get the German Steelbook. It has the correct title on the spine, all the German text will most likely be on the J-Card and it has the 3D version if that interests you.

The UK version should have the post credit sequence, it was only missing on the cinema prints because they only added it to the movie after it'd been sent here. I'm quite sure I've read that it'll on the Blu-ray release.

I did think about ordering the German one when it was first announced, might work out how much it'll be with postage.
Didn't realise that about the kebab scene, cheers. Just the title for me to be a massive about then

I ordered mine when it was €27.18. With postage and whatever else, the total is €33.18. Just had a look now and the price of the Steelbook is €29.99, so you'd be looking at €35 (I think).

Eureka are doing one for the Giorgio Moroder version, but its DVD only.
I do and I don't even collect steelbooks. I've got about 5, Highlander, Silent Running, Touch of Evil, Akira, Repo Man and Metropolis.

No, 6.

Hmm, so around the £27-28 mark. Got the HMV one preordered for half that, so should probably stick with that one if only to keep the wife happy

Heh. I have the German Steelbook ordered (though I may cancel it as I don't care for 3D), the HMV Steelbook and the US limited ten disc set.

I had previously held off ordering Hellboy: Golden Army because I didn't want a Steelbook for a sequel to a movie that didn't have a Steelbook also. I would have been quite happy with the Amarays.

So, I've ordered that (thankfully Play still had it in stock) and requested email notification for the first, along with The Evil Dead, Ghost Busters, The Untouchables and probably a couple of others.

Too many steelbooks!

Ok, I have to be ruthless.

Evil Dead - It won't have the full frame version like the US release, which is what I really want.

Ghostbusters - already got it on blu. Maybe if they suddenly decide to bung number II in there as well I might bite.

Hellboy - not picked it up yet, sold!

Anyone know if the Hellboy II steelbook has the second disc in it, as I might be tempted to double dip so I have the pair if it does?

Ouch! Guaranteed to sell out though. Such a disappointing film but I still like it so will bung in a pre-order.
