Region A Blu-ray Suppliers?

Where's best to buy those Region A Blu-Rays? I've been out of the loop for a while!

Depends, do you want them quick, early or cheap?

These are the ones I use depending on the situation...

PlanetAxel - ship early/3-7 days delivery/customs safe
Blu******* - ship at release/next day delivery/customs safe
Bluraysforeveryone - ship at release/3-7 days delivery/customs safe
Amazon.com - ship at release/upto 3 weeks delivery/customs risk

The ones that ship titles early or offer next day delivery will cost more, if you are happy to wait then you should be able to save £5/6 on new releases by getting them from retailers who ship after release.

Remember the customs limit has dropped to £15 now or something! Caught me out recently though I might still be lucky as some of my amazon orders come from Germany strangely

Bluraysforeveryone seriously need to sort there website out, it's far too cryptic! Are they really that desperate to offload slip covers thet they want to fool customers into thinking they're buying the complete BD?

If you use Amazon.com and select either Expedited International Shipping (averages 8-16 business days) or Priority International Courier (averages 2-4 days) as your shipping method, Amazon will cover your customs fees. If your item passes through customs untouched, you get that extra charge refunded.

I miss the old days, where it was easy to relatively easy to order region 1 DVDs. These days, everything seems such a hassle!

It is a hassle. I just wait until there's 8 I want and get them from blurays for everyone. I sometimes buy them from amazon.co.uk and have yet to be caught out for customs doing it that way. I've been stung a few times on amazon.com

For the record, I'd be quite happy paying the extra VAT. It's the £10 Post Office charge that bothers me. I didnt know about the expediated delivery thing, I'll have a go.

For checking Region-A releases I would use blu-ray.com

Axel FTW.

Mind, I just bought the US BD of Surveillance (I didn't know it was out! I knew the DVD was but the BD snuck by me) and there was an insert warning they have been having problems with thieves targeting their packages. ************!

One of the best things about blurays for everyone is you get some snazzy plastic bags used to pad the discs. I've just got a new favourite one with 'Thank you for shopping at PIGGLY WIGGLY' on it.

One thing I had forgotten was how crappy our Region B cases are. I'm not normally one to be that fussed by packaging, but after bringing a few back from the US the thinner Region A boxes are far more solid.

The "eco-cases" are a bit flimsy.
I prefer them because they take up less space.

Cheers, for the heads up.

Was going to order something anyway, as I had a voucher from the recent 'pay in Canadian $ promotion' so now it's even cheaper! Any idea how long it's on for?

No idea, but from memory it tends not to be very long.

Check out Yesasia, free postage to the UK and no customs charges as they pre-pay them.
